LaunchPad seeks to connect with Lamar Elementary students and their families, resourcing them with academic support, emotional encouragement, social engagement, and spiritual nourishment.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays we:
● Pick students up from Lamar and bring them to LaunchPad
● Provide each child with a well balanced snack
● Create space for homework help/tutoring with mentors
● Sing songs
● Read stories and work on comprehension
● Learn bible stories
● Engage with current events
● Create art projects
● Use the rock climbing wall and play other outdoor games
● Earn LaunchPad bucks, learn banking and other money management skills
On the weekends and during the summer we:
● Take kids to camp!
● Take kids to camp!
● Learn farming techniques
● Go hiking and visit parks with students and families
● Mentors host events with groups of students and families
