Young students in our community have been faced with a lot of change and uncertainty this year. We want our youth to be informed about the many important events that have happened in recent months. Most importantly, kids need to learn about how these events will impact them, how they can protect themselves, and how they can really make a difference. Enter Mr. Gary’s Current Events class, right here at Ciudad Nueva! Mr. Gary is on a mission to provide our local 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students a place to openly discuss and get practical information about the current events of the world … [Read more...]
“Little Glimmers of Hope” – Bethany Molinar Shares the Goodness of God Through Work at Ciudad Nueva
Now that Bethany Molinar has taken the reins as our new Executive Director, we want to take a moment to highlight her incredible leadership during these hard times! “You Never Retire From Ministry”—Joe Gavaldon’s Reflection on His Work at Ciudad Nueva

Several members of our staff shared memories they made with Joe over the years. He touched many lives through his time at Ciudad Nueva and spent countless hours being our handyman, supply stocker, and mentor. When … [Read more...]
Empowering Leaders Through Border Fellows

Sophie is one of several recent college graduates participating in the Border Fellows program to learn the ins and outs of what it means to live, serve, and lead in a border community. Here at Ciudad Nueva, a key part of our mission is equipping leaders who will help carry on God’s work in our neighborhoods to help communities thrive. In addition to mentoring and empowering local youth, … [Read more...]
